Forever 21-ish accessories

During the Ateneo Fiesta, Czar accompanied me to this famous local thrift store for accessories here in Zamboanga City to look for some good chunks. I found a lot of nice accessories but I wasn't really happy with their brassy colors. I only bought one butterfly necklace while Czar ended up buying 3 pieces. LOL :P

There are so many accessories out there but they are quite discouraging to me because they look quite dirty. So one day, I decided to just work with them than spend too much moolah on Forever 21 accessories when they almost look the same as the ones you buy in a thrift store.

Yes, spray your typical accessories with Gold coating for a vibrant finish!

If you are wondering what the masking tape and scissors are for, they are used to protect certain areas such as the stones and jewels if you don't want them to turn into Gold, too.

I am sure that most of your accessories look like antique. Dark and dull. I personally want to make them look like the standout in my outfits. So below is the final look of the sprayed items.

Cool huh? They're actually more vibrant in person. My friends actually thought I got them from Forever 21. Hihihi! :P

Though pearls are very elegant on a lady, they tend to add age. So I decided to spray them with gold and they make any outfit look extra classy.

In case you're wondering how much the can of spray costs, I bought it for only 80php from the hardware store. I also bought a clear spray which costs the same as the Gold one for that embossed finish. If you have the time, maybe you can try this out and put a spin to your typical accessories. Try silver tones for a change. I hope this was helpful. ^_^ Byers!

Best Make Up for Every Hair Color

I don't know about you guys but I find it essential to make sure that my make up look matches my skin and hair color because certain hair colors tend to look unnatural and wash out the features of the face. I don't want to look overly done when I apply color to my face, I want to look naturally glowing and I'm sure you too, would want to look the same. @.@

FACT:
Not all makeup colors and shades look good on you, that’s because the colors do not automatically match your skin tone as well as your hair color. These pro makeup tips will ensure that you look your very best every single time. Color Rules! that simple.

Black Hair
For those with Dark Hair, Sheer mauve gloss looks gorgeous with peach blush and balances ruddiness in fair skin while Blue-based magenta and wine shades with subtle sparkle combat the shy undertones of darker complexions.Play with your eyes by applying a cool tone to your lids to get a pretty doe-eyed effect that’s not too “done” if you have light skin and Plums can appear gray against tan skin, so opt for shadows with pinkish undertones.

Brunette
Brunettes know that it’s simple for their complexions to get lost and washed out due to the fact dark hair will cause more contrast with their skin. Brunet absorbs a much more light and so your skin might not get the chance to shine itself. To fix this problem, pick light-reflecting peaches and corals to brighten up your skin as well as give it a soft, warm, glow.”Darker hair works with brighter makeup and still look fresh. An orange lip is unexpected and brings out chocolate-brunette tones.” Don’t shy away with bright colors.

Blonde
If you’re a blondie, you realize that it can be challenging to wear bright or dramatic colors. Anything bold seems that much harsher on a blonde and that’s why it’s important to work with what you have. Combine soft, muted colors into your makeup bag such as pale pinks, nudes, and burgundy’s. Avoid going overboard as you’ll just end up looking overdone. If you’re looking for an extra kick, line your upper lids with a sparkly black liner. Substituting blush with bronzer ensures that your skin won’t look washed out. Tips for your eye makeup, draw attention to your eyes with dark- and neutral-toned shadows and liners.

Red Hair
Redheads have a hard time picking out their colors simply because of the harsh contrast between their pale skin tone and the fiery red hair. The same can go for those with dyed red hair too. The undertones in the hair and cosmetic colors absolutely need to match. Obviously the lighter you are, the softer the colors should be. If you have auburn highlights you should probably get rid of cool shades and go for warmer tones such as tawny, champagne and even gray.A splash of purple  or lime green does a redhead good. Copper tresses require a more natural color palette – play up eyes with little shimmer. With your lips, Choosing a nude lip doesn’t mean you may skip the liner. Always keep your lip shape strong.

I hope this helps! :)

My New Year's Resolutions

I know this post is quite late for a New Year's Resolutions list but then again I needed more time to sort out my priorities and at the same time, be more realistic of the things I can accomplish and the things that I need to work on.

Sunrise, signals for a new beginning. A new chance to make things right.

My Faith - I finally had the courage to let go. It was a very difficult decision to make but you can never expect that every result comes with happiness. I may not be happy today but I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day. I feel lighter and I know I can finally move forward. I open up and keep the good relationship with the Lord. This has brought me closer to him and closer to my family. I always put in mind that I am not alone in doing the things I need to do.

1.   Let go of the things that hold you back from moving forward
2.   Make the right decisions in life
3.   Stick to your choices
4.   Maintain the good relationship with God
5.   Keep the communication open with your parents

My Health - There is always this constant struggle between living healthy and eating whatever. I have a working mom and I know it can be tiring for her to cook when she comes home from her office. We always dine out and it can be unhealthy. Because of that, we lack exercise. I am also big on sweets, my mom always threatens me with the risk Diabetes! :( So instead of waiting what's on the table, I should just learn how to cook more complex meals that would make us stay away from unhealthy food.

6.   Avoid Fast food at all costs
7.   Learn to cook more home-cooked meals
8.   Exercise often to stay fit and healthy
9.   Be more skin and hair care conscious
10. Control your intake of chocolates

My Relationship with People - I have a very bad temper and I tend to abandon people at times. The only thing that keeps my temper at bay is my very long Patience. Whew! I have to learn to keep stretching it so I don't hurt the people around me. I also prefer to be alone most of the time because I enjoy my privacy than my friends and loved ones but I don't realize the things that I have been missing out a lot. I am actually making a good progress on this and hopefully this will continue.

11. Keep your temper low
12. Stop leaving people behind
13. Be more wary of the things you say
14. Stay professional
15. Spend more time with friends and family

My Growth and Maturity - I am going to enroll in Med School this coming June. It has always been my dream to become a doctor. I know it's not easy, it might actually be the worse mental torture that will happen to me yet. However, I know my passion will get me through and I have to prepare well. Therefore, I need to discipline my happy-go-lucky self to work harder and stop doubting my capabilities. I promised myself that I will make a difference one day.

16. Stop being late
17. Read more, learn more
18. Don't doubt your abilities
19. Keep yourself focused
20. Never give up on your dreams
